Environmental Project Manager – Brownfields Redevelopment

Brighton, MI (Hybrid: 2 days in-office, 3 days remote)

$90K – $120K

We are seeking an Environmental Project Manager with deep expertise in Brownfield redevelopment to lead complex projects across Southeast Michigan. This is a direct-hire opportunity with long-term growth potential for professionals who want to make a measurable impact on redevelopment and remediation efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of Brownfield projects, including site assessment, remediation, design, and construction.
• Advise clients and municipalities on redevelopment incentives and regulatory frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with EPA, CERCLA, and state Brownfield programs .
• Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers, scientists, planners, and contractors.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
• Identify risks, propose mitigation strategies, and resolve issues in real time.
• Maintain ongoing client communication and support business development efforts.
• Mentor junior staff and support internal growth of technical capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of Brownfield redevelopment and/or remediation experience.
• 5+ years of project management experience.
• Strong background in environmental site assessments (Phase I/II), remediation technologies, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with UST projects and/or a CPG license highly preferred.
