Founding Frontend Engineer (React Native)

AI / SaaS / Home Services Tech – New York, NY (On-site)

$160,000 – $200,000 + Founding Equity

Backed by leading investors and seasoned founders from top-tier technology companies, this startup is entering an exciting phase of product development and scale, with a clear mission to bring advanced technology to an underserved market.

The Role

We’re seeking a Founding Frontend Engineer (React Native) to join as Engineer #4 and take ownership of the company’s mobile application. You’ll design, build, and ship production-quality React Native features, collaborating closely with backend engineers and product stakeholders to deliver seamless, high-performance user experiences.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role in which you’ll shape frontend architecture, influence product direction, and partner with leadership to drive innovation across the stack. You’ll work on-site in Tribeca, NYC, alongside a small, entrepreneurial team passionate about solving real-world problems for small business owners.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain React Native applications for iOS and Android
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver end-to-end full-stack features
• Translate ambiguous product requirements into clear, intuitive user experiences
• Work directly with customers to gather feedback and iterate quickly
• Help define frontend architecture, coding standards, and design systems
• Contribute to technical strategy, roadmap, and cross-functional planning

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience shipping production React Native applications
• Strong frontend fundamentals and design sensibility
• Experience collaborating with backend engineers and integrating APIs
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
• Excitement for in-person collaboration (5 days/week) in a Tribeca office
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a get-it-done attitude and eagerness to learn

The Benefits

• $160,000–$200,000 base salary + founding equity
