We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our clients team in Fremont, California. This is a long-term contract opportunity for an experienced and detail-oriented individual to apply their expertise in general ledger management, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid background in accounting processes, and the ability to handle complex data-driven tasks with precision.
Responsibilities:
• Manage month-end close activities, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations, including payroll reporting and profit-sharing calculations.
• Utilize advanced Excel functions, such as pivot tables, to analyze and manipulate financial data.
• Generate audit schedules and maintain organized documentation for reviews.
• Calculate revenue using system data and ensure the maintenance of accurate financial files.
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies effectively.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a preference for 5-10 years.
• Proficiency in Excel, including the ability to create and manipulate pivot tables.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
