Schedule: Onsite Monday-Friday

Duration: 4-month contract with the intention to extend

Compensation Range: $55 - $65/hr W2

We are seeking a Senior Content Designer / UX Writer to join our client's team. In this role, you will collaborate with product managers, designers, and researchers to shape the end-to-end content experience for various consumer financial products.

This is a hands-on position that requires a design thinking mindset. You will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and evolving digital experiences. A key part of your role will be translating complex financial information into language that is clear, trustworthy, and easy for customers to understand. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and advocate for user-centered content design.

Responsibilities

• Develop clear, customer-friendly content for consumer lending, loan products, and payment flows.
• Partner with product managers and design leads to define content requirements, flows, and patterns.
• Incorporate insights from UX research, analytics, and compliance requirements to inform content decisions.
• Contribute to information architecture, including navigation labels and task completion language.
• Drive consistency through content governance, ensuring adherence to accessibility, legal, and compliance reviews.
• Actively contribute to and evolve content systems, such as voice and tone guidelines and messaging libraries.
• Collaborate in Figma with product designers to create wireframes, prototypes, and iterative content explorations.
• Present work to peers and stakeholders, advocating for user-centered content design.
• Develop content in partnership with Product Management and the Experience Design Lead.
• Incorporate different kinds of data (research findings, analytics) into content.
• Lead adherence in content governance and approvals process.
• Use and actively contribute to content systems (standards, voice and tone, messaging, and accessibility libraries).

Qualifications:

• Background: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent professional experience.
• Content Design Expertise: Advanced skills in UX writing, content strategy, and information architecture, with a portfolio that demonstrates end-to-end experience.
• Collaboration: Prior experience working closely with designers, researchers, and engineers in an agile or product development environment.
• Tools & Methods: Comfort with Figma, design thinking practices, and collaborative prototyping.
• Communication Skills: Strong command of English grammar and style; skilled at translating complex financial or technical concepts into clear, customer-first language.
• Governance & Compliance: Familiarity with financial services content compliance (legal, accessibility, and risk approvals).
• Presentation & Influence: Comfortable presenting content strategy to senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
