Senior RF DAS Field Engineer – Public Safety / Cellular Systems

Location: Sarasota, FL | Field & On-Site work (travel ≈ 30%)

We’re looking for a Senior Field Technician with strong hands-on experience in Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) and Bi-Directional Amplifiers (BDA) for public safety and commercial wireless environments.

In this role, you’ll lead on-site installation, commissioning, and optimization of multi-carrier and public-safety systems, ensuring full code compliance (NFPA 72/1225, IFC, NEC). You’ll act as the technical lead and mentor , guiding technicians and ensuring every system meets performance and quality standards.

What You’ll Do

• Lead commissioning, integration, and troubleshooting of DAS/BDA systems (Commscope, SOLiD, ADRF, JMA, etc.)
• Perform advanced Sweep/PIM/OTDR testing and analyze results using Anritsu, PCTEL, and similar tools
• Conduct site surveys, document as-builts, and manage system close-out packages
• Supervise and train field teams on installation, safety, and compliance procedures
• Interface with project managers, RF engineers, and AHJ representatives during acceptance testing

What You Bring

• 10+ years of BDA/DAS installation and optimization experience
• NICET In-Building Public Safety (IB-PCS) Level II+ – required
• OSHA 30 and OEM certifications (two or more: SOLiD, ADRF, Commscope, JMA)
• Expertise in RF and fiber testing (Sweep, PIM, OTDR)
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to lift 60 lbs and work in indoor/outdoor field environments
