Blooming Glen Contractors, Inc. Water & Wastewater Services Division a partner of the H&K Group, Inc., is currently seeking experienced and motivated CDL drivers with tagalong experience. Our CDL drivers satisfy a critical role here at H&K . This position places an emphasis on reliability and attentiveness, as maintaining both a truck log and the trucks themselves are daily responsibilities that come along with the position. Class A CDL Required.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities  

Performs all work adhering to OSHA and H&K Safety policiesMove equipment and material on tagalongDrives truck to destinationPrepares receipts for load pick upMaintains truck log according to state and federal regulations and company policyMaintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructionsLoads and unloads truckInspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and waterPerforms daily pre and post trip of vehicleTarps all loads when public roadway travel is necessaryTrims all loads prior to tarping when necessaryOther duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills, Education, and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institutionClass A CDL with 1 year of commercial driving experience Medical cardClean driving recordCustomer Service and TeamworkStrong Verbal and written communication skillsAbility to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as neededAbility to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience

3 years of commercial driving experience
• Strong preference for 3 years of tri-axle driving experience
TWIC card preferred with CDL class A
• Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement
Experience working in heavy civil construction, road construction, or quarriesOSHA or other relevant safety certifications
